Stack Costs
Ok I got the sickness...
I am in the NEED!! not want of some 6" miter stacks. I'm not a huge fan of the 4x6" square tubing idea I prefer the y-pipe with divider method of doing so... My question is is what am I looking at cost wise for this to be feasible? I searched around and found a few people referring to this ebay store http://stores.ebay.com/Trucks-to-clubs . They are selling their kit for $495 Is that about right?? Just doesn't look like $495 worth of parts to me.... Some people have said they bought their stacks for about $50 a piece so that leaves $395 for a flex joint a couple clamps and a 'Y'? Just don't want to spend more than I have to....
Thanks -Brian

if you know how to weld it shouldnt be expensine. you could just buy the pipe and do it your self. if not you could try to find a ypipe and napa should have every thing else except for the stacks.if you dont want to have to screw with it i would look around somemore and buy the kit. someone had a set 4 sale in the classifieds, you may look their.

You can pick up all the parts at a local big rig parts place like Fleet Pride. Those mandrel bent 45's, and 90's are expensive. I've seen 4'' splitters for almost 100 bucks. Still, you'd save $$ doing it yourself.

I just got off the phone with a couple of places, I was quoted the 4 in piping kit, stacks NOT included was $227, the 5 in piping kit, Stacks NOT included was $271. For 4in stacks, they were 50 bucks each for 36in long and the 5in stacks were 70 bucks for 36in. I can get the entire kit, 5in stacks included at a local distributor for Grand Rock Company for $390. Hope this helps

My stacks started out as a Grand Rock kit but then I changed things some to move the stacks inboard. With the Grand Rock chrome stacks you get 1 year warranty.

If you're a good welder/fitter you can make your own T from 2 90*'s. Just use a band saw to cut them and weld them to each other, 90*'s are about $20, T's are about $80.
