the square tubing for a stack setup!
alrighty i already have mine but i went the old school route with elbows a real t-split and all that...my friend now wants to get stacks as well but we wanna use the square tubing method to save space in the bed and not struggle so much making everything line up and stay straight...
question is where did you guys get that square piece? 5 inch right?...i have access to all the tools so i just need to be able to pick up a part like that nice and cheap...i can weld all that stuff no biggie
much appreciated

if hes wanting to go under the bed its going to be hard since there is a bed support in the way and you have to watch the clearence on the fuel tank the way im looking at running mine is use a 2x8 rectangle stock and remove that bed support and weld a nut on to the rectangle stock so i can end up with it as my bed support and then have it bolt to the bed up top so every thing is bolted down . but to do this i will have to pull the bed off.so i might use the same piece of stock and put it up in the bed and i will still have more room in the bed than the normal way and flow the same as if i were to run a 4in set up in the bed .

I've done a couple Y pipe/elbow setups... they're a pain to get everything lined up square, and they take up a lot of room in the bed...
I'm currently running a 3x6" box w/ .250" wall
the thick wall is overkill and heavy, but I'm not worried about denting it!
I got one 5' stick for $10/ft
next piece I got for free
I love the box crossovers, I'll never go back to the y pipe style.
the internal surface area of my box crossover is slightly less than that of a 5" pipe, but I'm splitting it into two, so it flows just fine. resonance seems lessened too. I build a divider in there for equal smoke

It costs about $90 USD retail for the square 1/4" tubing. I wouldn't recommend running it under the bed since there's a LOT of heat generated and there's plenty of things to melt including lines and the fuel tank.

forrest, do you have pics of your set up i would like to see how you did yours as im about to build mine . with the 2x8 crossover box and run 6in black miters . i think these will look good on a white truck. im going 6in because i found a place were i can get the 6in tube cheeper than the 5in .
how did you put your divider in ?

I cut the inlet hole, then built a divider down there and divided about the first 3-4" of the inlet tubing so it would be like a Y pipe
I also do all my stack setups with the splitter one rib to the right of the center of the bed. it takes an extra elbow under the bed, but the smoke is perfectly even.
