ok guys turbo is freakin sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i gained 100 degrees while just cruising but lowered it by almost 450 degrees with the boxes turned on. now i can only hit 1350 to 1375 while everything is on. boost is at 52psi with DRAG comp on and nothing else. i have not played with the wastegate yet so no sure how hi it would go. my crusing temps are at 900 to 1000 depending on how fast i am crusing. really with my cruising was a little lower but i am happy. as far as towning goes, not sure if i will be able to tow right now. seems as if i were to put a load on it, it would get hot fast. with just my injectors alone, it gets to 1200 and then completly stops. overall i am very very happy with it. started to think about using this turbo in a set of twins to get low towing egts.

and i also bet i gained around 50hp cause my smoke cleans up really nice now and boy oh boy does this thing pull hard in all the gears now

glad to hear some one has the money for a new whistle don't you love a new toy it's like a new truck again for at least a month or to or untill something breaks witch ever happens first. hay want to donate your old one I know a needy guy who would give it a good home you could say i am on the donor list for a new turbo just kidding but what was the old turbo and how much.

old turbo was an ATS Aurora 2000 and its already sold sorry

Your cruising temps are a bit higher than mine- I might see 900-1k going up a long hill running 10 lbs. Whats your boost at 60 and 70 mph? I think the smarty will help you bring in more boost sooner while cruising to help keep temps down.

yeah i am going to try the smarty tonight. i usually run with everything off, just injectors and then have the DRAG comp set to kill for fun. boost is 6 to 8 pounds wheather i am on a straight road or a little uphill. boost at 60 is i believe like 4 or 5 but no higher. other than that, it does not spool much slower than my little 58/12 i had on it before. i do get a very very LITTLE amount of surge but its barely enough to notice. what kind of boost are you seeing at WOT with your boxes on kill? i have not touched this turbo once and i am getting 52 to 54 psi with everything on and just wonderin what the wastegate was set to from the factory.

ok i tried every combo tonight to try to lower my crusing egts and with the DRAG comp on 3x4, it lowered it almost 150 degrees and boost is now at 4 to 5 at 70. now i am at 775 to 800 crusing at 70. that was by far the lowest even over the smarty. going to stick with that combo for a while

Right on. That sounds about right. My boost used to stop at 45, but since I messed with the elbow now it holds a very shakey 47 on the guage.

If you decide to stick with the drag comp, you would have no problem selling the smarty and tst in the dtr classifieds. Drag comp would probably give the best numbers on the dyno anyways.

yeah like i said in the other post, i am really going to try to take my truck to the dyno next week to see what the best combo is. right now i do have to agree that i think the DRAG comp is giving me the best hp right now. might be because of my big sticks like you mentioned. either way, i should know next week and i will keep ya updated.
