Yeah. I havent checked it yet, but i dont feel like i have a leak either. It spooled pretty wuick with the stock converter, and yes; I am running full boost still. Oh well. Its so fun once it spools that I can live with it i guess.

You've got more paitence than I do. I try my best not to get mine to smoke but it just can't be helped at times if I catch it at the wrong time.

I guess the big cloud before boost doesent bother me so bad if I am kicking on it. What gets me is that it will haze if you just even barely step into it just running down the road, or taking off. I might end up trying a different plate sometime. Im pretty sure I can get the smoke down some doing that.

I was wondering if things got better for you with added fuel or what you did to help this. I have a really tight Suncoast sitting here and I am debating putting it in.

We have simalar DV's and the same injectors. Just for kicks move your AFC housing back or screw out the smoke screw just a bit and try it out. Mine blows smoke (bogs out) and inital spool is much slower if it is to far forwards.

EDIT: SORRY I SEE YOU ALLREADY TRIED THAT.

I havent had any luck yet. I have just been living with it. I have played with the starwheel a little without much luck in getting it any better. It just likes to smoke I guess I still have a few things i want to try with it, but i havent messed with it much. I think my converter is just so tight that it likes to smoke. Its definately worth the trade off over a stock converter though.

Its not going under the AFC or plate. I adjusted it a while back. My valet switch works fine, so it has to be hitting the AFC

try pulling your fuel plate back a little? my truck smoked real bad and untill I pulled the plate back some. Cleaned up quite a bit and I didnt notice any loss in power. Also the slow spooling isnt that due to a really big exhaust housing? I have a 62/14 and its really slow to spool. I was told the 12 is alot faster. I'm not expert on turbos but wouldnt a 16 even on a hx35 still be the problem? With the loser converter your engine could spin up to a higher RPM befor lockup without all that load so thats probbaly why it felt faster.
