Speed Bleeders

Does any one know what size are needed for the front and rear on a 2000 4x4 3500? Does it vary on the rear if you have 24mm, 27mm, or 30mm brake cylinders? I am adding the 30mm this weekend and wanted to simplify the bleeding process.

Here you go, click here. Even works on hydraulic clutch systems.

Those are pretty cool. I will have to get one of those too. I was thinking about going to a brake shop and having them do a power flush. Someone on here said they had it done fairly cheap like $25.00 or so. If I got one of those, I could do every car in the family and save a ton of cash.

I am still curious on what size threads we have for the speed bleeders though. Has anyone here bought some for a Dodge?

I don't have them on my CTD yet, but on my Nissan they have been awesome.

Being able to get a good quality brake bleed done with one person is a real treat. It makes a torturous job easy as pie.

If you want a good brake fluid, check out the 5.1 Ferodo fluid that Geno's carries.

Motul is the "gold standard" even in 5.1, but it's VERY $$

Hohn,

Have you been reading my mind? Have you been spying on me? I was looking on Geno's website for brake fluid about an hour ago and have benn unable to find it. I thought I remembered seeing it on there before, but dang if I can't find it now. I even used their search feature and found nothing.

The site jrs_dodge_diesel recommended has Motul 600 for under $12.00 a half liter. If I remember right, that sounds like a good price, but I am going to check around.

At this rate, I am only going to get the new wheel cylinders installed and do the flush later. Oh well, it'll be fun anyhow.

It's M10 X 1.5 or Speedbleeder part number SB1015
This also happens to be the most common size bleeder used by far.
