SPEC Clutches

Has anyone used a SPEC Clutch? If so what stage? Like? Dislike? Looking for a new clutch for my truck after discovering the transfer case adaptor is cracked and figured while everything is out it's thime to replace the stock clutch. Thanks for any replies.

I don't know much about the Spec clutches, but Standard Transmission has a stronger cast iron extension housing available for the NV4500/NP241.

Thanks for the heads up on the cast extension housing. After some of my own research it appears that the higher stage spec clutches do not have a sprung hub, which I think wilol make them lousy on the street.

I wouldn't have believed it 3 months ago, but the SBC clutchs are awesome! I listened several trucks with heavy horsepower clutches and I would rate the SBC dual disk clutch as the quietest of the high horsepower bunch. Then I jumped into gsdog1's truck and the pedal pressure with a street SBC Dual Disk was almost non-existant. I'm a believer!
