I want to know how a 4" or 5" straight exhaust the exits BEFORE the rear wheel sounds.
It exits behind the passenger side rear wheel. It doesnt drone at 2k. Down here there is a 7.3 powerjoke with 5 inch before the rear wheel and it sounds pretty good and loud(compared to other powerjokes). I bet a CTD with 5" before the rear wheel would sound mean. It would probably be real loud and have alot of turbo sound. Try it and let us know how it sounds.

Keeping the cat converter on it to muffle the sound down.

uhh, if it were me i wouldn't dump the exhaust infront of that tire. my buddy did that and his turbo blew up, all that oil reserve from the turbo went sailing down the exhaust pipe, coated his tire and he lost control of his truck. its a sad day when you see a 12v wrapped around a tree because of a bad idea on where to dump the exhaust. just my $.02

Agreed, Even it you don't blow a turbo...
Exhaust will cover the rear wheel and qtr panel creating a cleaning nightmare!

it'll muffle the sound coming out of the tailpipe, but I'll bet you money, it'll resonate INSIDE the truck worse w/ the cat ON than with it OFF
