does anyone know who makes a grille guard that will fit a 2001 ram 3500 sport....i am finding alot of nice grille guards out there but they all say except sport...

 

My dad has a grille guard for his 01 2500 Sport. Same front end, regardless of 1-ton or 3/4 ton. It is chrome. It's nice, but mostly for looks as I wouldn't pull the truck out with it.

I think it was made by Westin or something similar. I'll ask him. It was on the truck when he bought it from the previous owner, but it seemed to me it is pricey when I looked it up last year.

BTW, in reading your truck bio, you should add some pics. I'd like to see what a 1-ton looks like with 35" super swampers.

BTW, I think the only difference is the mounting brackets. They are taller and drop down further under the truck to accomodate the air dam under the Sports. The grille guard itself is probably the same.

So if you can ask about the brackets for the sport, you may get somewhere with the retailers. Try calling them and asking. I know they exist.

 

as of right now i dont have the 35s they are do in this week. i ordered them on monday 2/28. i will post pics as soon as i get em on...

 

scarecrow, do you have spacers for the rear duals ? Also, any kind of lift other than the D25's ?

 

OK, got a couple pics of my dads setup on his 01 2500 Sport. It is a chrome Go Rhino. I'm going to attempt to add the two pics to my member gallery.

i have not gotten the tires yet they are do in this week...as for the spacers no i did not order them i am gonna try it without em first. it is gonna be close i will let yall know.......
