Sold the GMC. Need advice on bombing a 95.

Well the GMC sold today so now I finally have the cash to get started bombing the truck! I would like to have roughly the same power as my 600 does and keep my milage and low black smoke output. I was thinking gauges, GSK, #10 plate, and 16 degrees of timming. I think the clutch will hold if I am nice to her. I dont want to hot rod this truck and need to be able to tow up 10,000lbs. Just reliable power with RPM. My questions are
1. I am on the fence on the GSK. 3K should be just fine but should I go ahead and install the 4K? I think I saw this as being suggested for the 175HP pumps. The motor has 235k on the ticker so the new valve springs may be a good idea anways.
2. Do you guys think that I need a fuel preasure gauge with this setup? If so what style? I have not heard anything good about the isolator mechanical gauges or the electrical styles as far as durablility.
3. Did I miss anything?

I havent done the KDP yet but will be ordering the parts also. I apreciate everyones input As I want to do this right the first time.

I like gauges but from what I've been told is we do not need with these pumps ,and for 200 bucks I'll do other stuff 1st, but with the man. trans. theres been a lot of talk about the 5th gear nut fix and the clutch up grade is almost a must , then for power and mpg I've read a lot about bigger injectors giving both , but the 12v eng are limited to whats out there on injectors , and if you add much hp then a bigger turbo and exhaust [4" for both] , some thoughts.

Thanks John. I am not to interested in bigger injectors. Well other than 215s. Stock are fine with me. I just am looking for more power and laying a smoke show out of the neighborhood going to work wouldnt be very good. I think the neighbors already have enough with the straight pipe. I am a little concerned about EGTs and hoping that the turbo will keep it in check with this setup. I have read the bigger housings dont work to well.
I have mixed feelings about the fuel gauge. I am not concerned about loosing a lift pump on this truck. However I think it may be beneficial in keeping tabs on fuel filters and overflow valves. I really do like to have alot of gauges but like you said. Is $200 reasonable for a moslty decoritive gauge.
As far as the fifth gear nut goes I have my fingers crossed. I bought my rig off of a car lot in back woods town. Supposedly the tranny went out about 2 years ago and had the upgraded nut done at that time. I am hoping a new clutch was installed also but who knows. The truck was supposedly parked after that till it was traded in. The trans was dirty but cleaner than the Xfercase or motor. As long as the clutch semi holds I will just slide the plate back a little till it stops slipping for now. I have some other minor maintanence to do to the rig and dont want the misses getting to jealous.

Ive got it in my rig, Its nice it fires right up to 3K, would go over a little if I hold it to the floor but then the egt's go crazy. I may have done the 4K if I knew how to do the Valve springs just for the sake of having them, but am not dissapointed with the 3K's. There only around $125 from most places, so its a cheap bomb that DEFENETLY makes a difference, just go for it.

Thanks guys.
Dshiftff, Do you feel any falling off before 3000? Stock mine runs out of steam at 2200 but will rev to 2800. I would really like to pull full power right to 3000 RPM and after that I could really care less. I think this is what you are saying. Thanks for the clarification.

Robert, I dont have the same power say at 2800 as I do at 2000, But it does spin up to there pretty nicely, especially after you compare it to stock. From what Ive heard the 4K's will spin up to 3000 as if it were only 2000 and then slowly fall off to 4K.
