So i lost against a 7.3 Powerstroke :S
raced a 95 half ton, single cab, 4x4 ford with a powerstroke swap.
i know that guy well, man he got it running good... raced him with my 98 24 valve, single cab, 4x4 mods: edge juice, 100 hp jammers, SPS 62, intake/exhaust, lift pump, suncoast tranny/lock up.
my truck launched a bit harder at 20 psi boost then his' but he catched up and got me by like 1 and half truck length.
i know he has a HTT turbo, some sort of nozzles, chip, exhaust, valve springs. and i dont know what else to make it so fast anyway.
my truck runs constant 13.3s in the quarter mile, launching at 17 psi boost.
he smokes way more then mine...

It's most likely the weight difference.
Are you locking the converter in 2nd gear? In your sig you say you have Mach injectors in your 98? What's with the 100hp jammers nozzles?
How much boost are you running with the 62? I would adjust the wastegate to were it flashes to around 55 psi and settle in to a bit over 50psi once the wastegate is fully open. Drop as much weight as possible out of your 98, overload springs, tailgate, spare tire etc... Also, put some spring clamps on.

The 62 makes around 47 psi boost, never messed with the wastegate yet.
Yes i use lock up in 2nd gear.
What are spring clamps?
He used to run propane, but the last time he said he didnt.
i had raced him about half year ago before and easily won him, specially on the top end,
But now that thing smokes a lot!
what are my options? im thinking injectors and nitrous if necesarry, i dont wanna swap turbo yet.

He must have a lot more than that done to that 7.3 than you think. For him to beat you, he would need a whole upgraded fuel pump and regulator setup, upgraded HPOP, and some better rods to be runnin down the road like that....
Lots of $$$$ put into that truck!

Smoke?
My truck doesn't smoke much, no nitrous or water/meth.... just good ol' #2.
I would go with at least a Mach 6, it will be hot on a single but it will put you in the 12's. Spray water to keep egt's in check or put a S400 on the bottom.
