Smoke concern
Ok guys another NEWB ?? everyonce in a while when i give my my truck 3/4 throttle or full it blows smoke out the exhaust almost like a whitish grey color kinda hard to tell it only does sometimes. should i be concerned, do i need more fuel? am i gettin to much air and not enough fuel?

Does it only do it when it's cold or all the time? If it does it all the time it sounds like you're burning coolant, maybe with a blown headgasket. If it only does it when it's cold it's just incomplete combustion and somewhat normal.

white smoke (alot of the time, but not all) is a sign of a dieing IP. Have the codes pulled on the truck, and hope you don't see a 0216. There are 2 kinds of vp44's, dead ones and dieing ones. If you drive a VP'ed truck long euongh, you will change the IP.

it mainly does it when its cold and the VP44 was changed not even 20k ago. hopefully that not the prob. but i will hook up my superchips and see if it pulls any codes, hopefully none tho.
