Smarty on the way

Just got through ordering a smarty (don't know how I talked the future wife into it?!?), just wondering what the best setting might be for my truck, and how long I have before I tell her we need a new clutch. Also, does anyone have any idea how long it may take to get here to Wichita, KS?

I set mine on #7 on my HO truck the day I got it and haven't looked back. I am all
I haven't tried #9 because I am afraid it will be too smokey for my liking, and I drive in stop and go traffic (on the high way ) and I have read that you really have to be careful with the throttle or else you may be buying alot of folks new rear bumpers and trunks

I think I might be able to hold out for a day or two, but if it's much longer, I'll have to get a hold of you for a test. Any hail damage this morning? I got a hood full, but it's not near as bad as some got around town.

Good call. If you tried his, the next 2 days would seem to last approximately 73 hours each.

unfortunately I've got 12 or 13 dings on the hood and 6 or more on the top of the cab... Obviously I didn't get the worst of it but it's disheartening to look at all those dents... definitely sounds like had the storm hit about 1 hour earlier, my truck may not have had any windows. I'll be calling the insurance man in the morning to see what I have to do to get the fixin' process started.

btw, I've been running SW#9 since day one with only brief trials of the other softwares... I'm also running DD3's and a SBC ConOFE. I'm not sure how well your stock clutch will like Smarty...

Talking smarty

I don't mean to pry, just wanted to know how much you had to give for the smarty, and what's the best place to get one. Everybody on this site seems to indicate that the smarty is the way to go, and I was looking to upgrade

Try a sw then try another one and keep going until you find one you like. 9 is always popular as is 1. I'm still undecided and keep switching sw's.

Smarty Fan

I had a Smarty sw#9 downloaded into my truck last Sat. and WOW! Driveability difference and smooth unending power was truly amazing! The first thing I monitored was F.P. and it appeared unchanged. EGT's were higher but not too bad. My diagnostic port was down for awhile but is now operational so saving my dinero for Smarty. I think I'll settle for #5 or#7 in town as observers said I was really smoking out the place! Really an amazing device. Bob gives great customer service.
