Have to ask, but did you follow the instructions?

Specifically, the key needs to be in the "run" position.

I believe you have to enter your tire size if other than stock and smarty will display your tire size after you enter the stock tire size.

smarty wont show a tire size until you enter it

Mine said 0.0 too. I just followed the directions and put in 34.25 as the closest possible number to what the tire manufacturer lists for my tire, and presto!

Mine showed the stock tire size and I corrected it to 32.25. Right on the money now, I used a GPS to check the speedo.

Mine was set at 29.00 when I changed mine, but I had loaded SW#9 before I played with the tire calibration . I'm still having to fine tune the tire size to get it correct. The manufacturer stated tire diameter seemed to be too large. I'm just trying to get the odometer pretty close to the interstate mile markers, so I'm basically reducing the diameter 1/4 inch at a time.

Phatboy - Thought tire sizes were listed on plackard inside drivers door... Not sure. Don't need it anyway, right? Just enter what you have now. If you need that info...get a "build sheet" from a dealer with your VIN #.

I entered 34.50 as closest to what Toyo says for my 315/75/16's. Had to go to 34.25... than 34.00 before speedo matched a 3 mile, road side, measured distance laid out by the state???
Works fine...just surprised Smarty setting was so different from Mfg. Anyone else run into this?

Just take a tape measure and enter the diameter of your tire. I hit mine on the money the 1st time.

Problem with oversized tires (35's) is this dimension changes with speed... growing bigger as you go faster. Probable not so much difference with E rated/stock sized.
But on mine... big difference at 75 mph. Confusing thing to me is.... I had to go smaller, not bigger, on the Smarty, to get speedo accurate at 75 mph. Should be other way around...No?

RJ

Brad... sorry, did not see above...you ran into same problem.

The ABS does not always take the tire size change. This is why the display comes back and tells you what the new current size is. If it still says 0.0, then the ABS did not take the change. Try again, even a couple of times, until the returned tire size reflects what you entered.

285/75-16s with 3.54 gears takes a corretion height of 30.
