If you can't decide, find someone local with a Smarty to try or call Bob Wagner to send you a loaner.
Hardly any XZT+ boxes have been sent in for warranty repair. The don't die.

We had some of the origianl XZT modules come in but, that is a wire tap box and is a whole different animal.

The programs being released have nothing to do with the files we have not working. The tunes on the website now are all options. They all work and they all serve a different purpose.

I know that is hard to grasp but, it is sort of like having a cake and getting to eat it to.

Just looked at all the different downloads available from the quad site. I didn't realize what all they are offering. I thought they were releasing beta's and fixing problems. Looks like they are just releasing many different options for each user. Pretty cool...

Exactly my point, it is unreal the options that quad is offering compared to other manufacturers. He has raised the bar in diesel performance, you get to choose everything instead of one size fits all. This is why I said that I would choose XZT+ hands down.

For a manual transmission user I would say yes. Smarty seems to play alot nicer with manuals than autos.

For an auto I would say go with the XTZ+, as quad is dilligently working on the surging issues associated with the low end throttle response that we all have grown addicted to. Actually you couldn't go wrong with this for a handshaker either...imo

Good luck

the smarty was nice when the maker was promising the updates and custom files etc...

then the 3rd gens came along and they dont give a hoot about us 2nd gen guys who were the ones who got that company going by buying up MAD ecm's and smarty's...

i have no faith in marco or MADs that they will ever get back to us 2nd gen guys. i've been hearing about a 4k program since november...last week i spent $1k on a redline because they wont ever come through with anything for the smarty.
