smarty problem

ok talked to Bob on Friday about what this is doing. thought i had it figured out but i dont. ok on anything over sw4, it acts like it only works for half throttle, anything over have throttle truck falls on its face. we thought when i had is stacked with the TST that i was putting the flame out but it does it still with just the smarty and no TST. if i load sw9 and punch it, boost goes to 48 but truck hardly pulls and if i let up on the throttle to say 50% to 75% boost falls to 40 to 43 but the truck flat out HAULS. only program that seems to give me full throttle performance is sw3. any of you have this problem and know how i can fix it?

Will it pull hard on SW4 when at 48 psi? It seems odd that it doesn't pull hard at the higher boost, but does at lower boost. You need fuel to produce the boost, so it must be pushing more in with more throttle to get the higher boost numbers.

its so wierd. sw4 does the same thing. seems that only sw0 sw1 sw2 sw3 work. i know you would think that with more boost that it would pull harder. but its opposite. and i am not talkin like oh it only pulls a little harder with half throttle, it pulls HARD. seriously, half throttle feels like full throttle and full throttle feels like half. i dont know if their is something messed up with my smarty or what.

If you put it back to stock, is it the same, falls flat above 1/2 throttle. I'm old and dumb so be patient. If you aren't getting fuel into the engine above half throttle, start with the simple stuff. Got fuel, yes. Got enough fuel pressure? Got a clean fuel filter? I know it's silly, but don't ignore the simple stuff.

I think somebody else posted something similar the other day. I think their problem started in sw5. You might try a search over the last week, maybe two.

On the softwares that pull hard at full throttle, are you still seeing boost to 48 psi like on 9? Any codes? Have you tried reloading the softwares onto the Smarty? Maybe they somehow got corrupted?

Sounds normal to me. Thats why people have complained about the condensed pedal with the catcher programming. The difference in boost can be explained by the difference in timing the smarty is using based on your input. If your running sw5+ (the catcher programming) you want to roll into the throttle instead of holding it on the floor. Just run sw3 if you don't want to learn to drive the higher sw's =P

Since the cam install I've been playing with the different sw's again and am currently running sw3. Feels great, but I can't seem to burn rubber from a roll like I used to do with sw9
