Slow Spoolup

When Im pulling a load up a slow steep incline it takes my turbo forever to spool. If I punch it the tranny will drop a gear and then it spools up immediately. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem or am I just going to have to live with it? Any info would be appreciated!!!!!

more fuel, more agressive fueling. the banks is pretty mild and I dont believe it fuels enough to really get things spinning down low.
with a modified hx 35 (14cm housing with drilled divider) I can make boost instantly in overdrive locked up from 1600 and up,

I have know clue about Banks products, but I would suggest talking to Bob Wagner, ask him to send you a Smarty to try.

Another option is Quadzilla products, Quad is a member of this site, he says his product fuels pretty hard down low.

I second the fueling problem. Banks doesn't fuel real hard on the bottom end to keep it from smoking a lot. Get a smarty or a comp/juice, tst, quad box and that'll take care of your spool issue.

How about a Boost elbow or J-hook your waste gate.

Are you running a stock turbo? Never heard a complaint before that a little HY turbo was slow to spool

With a VA box and DD1s mine goes from 0-30+ in the blink of an eye (okay not that quick, but it gets there quickly)!

you dont want ot modify your turbo yet. with more fuel the little wastegate cant usually keep up anyway and you get more boost, my hy9 with the tst would make over 30 psi I would see if you could borrow a smarty or quad to give it a try.
