Slipping Con-FE

How can you tell if a con-fe is slipping. I pulled the 5ver today for the first time with the manual and coming up a hill in 4th at alittle over 2000 rpm and around 55 mph pulling 40 pounds of boost the truck started hunching backward and forward. if it is not the clutch slipping what else could it be. I know with my setup i cant be over 550hp at the rear wheels i would be lucky to see 450. It was the only time it did it the next hill it pulled just fine. These hills are on a 2 lane blacktop and not the interstate.

No the rpms were staying the same it was just hunching forward like it was fueling then not then fueling then not.

Then the clutch is still holding fine. I think you answered your own question with the fueling analogy.

I wonder if the 370s were stumbling at that time.

My 3k springs cause this when towing, but the boost will go up and down so it don't make a lot of sense. I mean if its a fuel problem then the boost should drop.
