Didn't SJ have a big recall on their pitman arms a while back?

When I had a Skyjunker lift on my truck I broke the bolt that holds the track bar drop down bracket on two times. After the second time I welded the bracket on. Now I don't have that crap on anymore and have converted to a third gen style track bar. Do yourself a favor and get rid of Skyjunker products.

Thanks for all the info. When removed, I actually found the bracket had two cracks in it. SJ states they must have the bracket to determine refund. To me shippping 20lbs of junk steel at my expense doesn't seem right.

Plus once they have the evidence, oh! I am sorry I mean the parts, there is nothing you can do about it.

I build costom jeeps and I will NEVER recomend Skyjacker to any one ever again. My friend that owns his shop that is a skyjacker dealer say he has problems with the service and part failure. He quit selling there stuff all together.

I understand and am trying to keep a positive tune for reimbursement.

Hmmm. So now I'm just trying to get my truck back on the road. The mfg, SJ won't issue any refund to me directly. I must first buy the product AGAIN from a dealer and return my cracked bracket for "analysis." I'm not so sure I wan't to spend any more $$$ w/SJ or on UPS freight!

This issue is pretty much a dead end road as SJ really won't work w/me. All returns and/or exchanges must go thru a SJ dealer. So I have to ship 20lbs of broken steel to SJ using a return authorization # from the dealer. For the dealer to issue this return autorization, I must first puch another bracket. No changes have been made to the SJ trackbar drop bracket. So, I either buy the same SJ bracket $178+the cost of shipping the broken brkt and "potentially" have this issue again or buy another bracket from a diff mfg. I decided not to ship the bracket and I bought a Tough Country bracket $125 from Top Gun Customz w/includes an additional support gusset to the frame. The TC brkt is built w/thicker steel + the added support. Back on the road and the truck drives the way it should, almost like a Caddy. The problem is that SJ is really clueless on the issue and saftey around this bracket braking.

Sky Jacker bites. Bought a pair of front springs from them a while back. The powdercoat cracked off both springs in less than a year, and underneath the coating, the springs themselves were significantly pitted with rust. The passenger-side spring showed cracks, so I replaced them. Talked to SJ about it, and the fellow actually said "Working as intended. No front coil springs on a truck with an engine that heavy lasts for more than a year."

A-yup.

Buy the new part from someone else, send the broken Skyjacker part to NHTSA with your complaint and direct them to this site for the others on here that have posted. Email SJ and tell them your part has found it's way to NHTSA for their review.

Customer service in this country has gone down the toilet, I'm dealing with some other aftermarket junk right now.

Yes, I filed an incident report online w/NHTSA on Friday. We'll see what they have to say about it. I really gave SJ the benefit of the doubt and after 4 phone calls they really didn't seem to care or want to work w/me in the issue. The truck is back on the road and I'm sure NHTSA will take up the issue. If I receive a response from them, I keep you updated. Thanks again for all the input.
