Sirius Radio Install

Sirius Radio Install
Momma got me a plug and play Sirius for my truck for Christmas. She has a factory Sirius radio in her Jeep, and I got the bug from that. I really am impressed with how easy it was to install. I mounted my antenna permanent and ran the lead wire in through the third brake light. Suction cups are not my thing and since I no longer smoke I disassembled the suction parts until I got to the part that locks on the back of the receiver drilled a hole in my ashtray handle, mounted the bracket and presto it almost looks factory. I love the fact that I can go from Ohio to Tennessee and I don't have to change the channel. If anyone is interested I can post pics.

I'd like to see them too. I have my Sportster Replay suctioned cupped just above the dash, on the far left hand side of the windshield, against the piller. It creates quite a large obstructed area. My son noted that with the satellite radio, the GPS, and the remote head of my ham gear mounted up there high, and at eye level, it's beginning to look like an aircraft cockpit. Just need the heads up display.....

I got sirius as well install went easy... Longest part of the install was making my decision on where to put the reciever. I have a kenwood head unit that is compatible so i do not need the external display. Ran antenna through the third break light and put a little bit of clear silicone around the wire so not to leak into the cab. mounted the reciever behind the glove box, everything turned out nice with a little help from durasmack...i can get pics of everything if anyone needs it..
