Should a stock 215hp truck haze?

Well like the title says shouls a stock 215hp p-pumped truck haze? all it has done that we know of is a 4 inch exhaust. It hazes a bit and yet my non intercooler firstgen with the pump turned up doesn't haze one bit.

Could it be a sign of injectors going south or what. The things goes like a bat outta hell after 2k RPM's could it have POD's in it maybe?

Oh the exhaust mani is shrunk on it n number one has abit of an exhaust leak so it's not performing like it used to would this cause the lower performance?

Mine doesn't haze at all. Something has been done to her, now you need to figure out what.

Does it haze only at WOT? All the time? You really need to know what your boost pressure is. Anything running low boost will haze or have a cloud of black, depending on how low the boost is. I'd think your manifold leak could hamper performance - and cause the haze. But like I said, you need to know what your boost pressure is. Black smoke means one thing: not enough air!
Is the break-off screw on the AFC housing intact? That should tell you if anyone's been in the pump...

Yup that screw on the afc cover is still on there. The injectors look original too.

It hazes at idle and smokes at WOT unlike my first gen that clears up after a few secons of WOT and no idle haze. His is making 24PSI empty or loaded.

Oh the exhaust shtanks on that thing.

It only takes one bad injector to make a haze at idle and smoke at WOT. My Jetta's a perfect example of that. I'm sorry guys, I shouldn't say swear words...
The fact that it goes like a raped ape above 2k has me puzzled.

Yeah thats what I was thinking is a bad injector but it gets great mileage n runs great.

It is weird because it's a complete dog till close to 2K then puts you in your seat. We honestly can't figure it out.

When we got it the airfilter was plugged so bad it would smoke out a car on the freeway like the car would be gone and it would just **** off. My firstgen when I got it the filter weighed almost twice as much as the replacement and it barely smoked.

It should be kicking in earlier. mine kicks it about 1500 and No haze. Sounds like boost problems.

I know it should all I can think of is a timing bump maybe. I should try n see if there's still paint on the nuts holding the inj pump on.

It's making it's rated boost though with no problem.

I think the timing bump might be case here looks lije the nuts have had a wrench on em since the motot was painted but I can see in there to tell if the timing marks lineup.

Paint missing from the hold down nuts won't tell you if the timing has been changed, you don't turn the pump like you would with a VE.
