Should I trade the Comp for Smarty?

I personally think it should take more than one truck and one dyno run before we can start making claims.

EDIT: I should also say, I hope Quad's box does out dyno the TST/Dummy stack. I'm looking for a reason.
I'll send you one to "try" if you will do a back to back and at least treat me fair. Of course, we need to make certain you are able to get it on and give us good test results. When it is over you gotta give it back!!!

I think today we put something like 40+hp/100+ ft lbs of torque on the TST/Smarty on a VERY stingy dyno (dynojet).

I'll step out and say you should be well into the 600's with the nitrous. We put down almost 600 on just fuel today 590/1120 and that was after hot lapping it for a while.

So I'm digressing a little, but would it be worth it to keep the setup the same, and adjust the wastegate up by 5psi to 45psi? Would it even make a difference, still be at a safe level?

Your statement seems to imply that you think I would treat you unfairly? Not to worry... As tempting as the offer is, I'm not interested in testing your product on my truck using my money to pay for the dyno time. I think you have enough credible testers to support your product.

Before you go stepping out on my truck, know this, I haven't even been on the dyno with the setup you see in my signature. I agree, I will be over 600 with my new setup. I'll post up numbers after the OBX event April 5th.

Congrats on the nice dyno numbers, 40hp is an awesome gain!

Dang it Mike you already declined his offer. I really wanted you try one at TS. Maybe try it on the track for a couple of runs.

Here is a quote from Quadzilla from CompD from a while back comparing ADR to Comp

Seeing that the base or regular Adrenaline can be had for about the same $$$ as the Comp box it is a fair apples to apples comparison.

Just so the water is not muddied up lets say the power is the exact same.

1.) Turbo Timer (can be EGT based or Time based)
2.) Built in de-fueling (only if you want it though)
3.) Built in Cold Engine protection "warm up mode" (once again, only if you want it)
4.) Built In gauges, EGT, Boot and transmission or Oil temp (once again, only if you want them)
5.) Built in Hi-Idle (you guessed it, if you want it)
6.) More adjustability, from timing only to how much fuel you want, we break it down 10 ways instead of 5.
7.)USB Updatable (handy for updates or FREE product improvements, also lets you use select all the free peipheral options if you want them or want to change them)
8.) Built in warnings (if you are using gauges and if you want to set them)

Now these are things that are currently available so we take hype and opinion out of the pictures.

As far as how it drives. On the regular, factory tuning we are much smoother, much more linear, much more efficient and we spool faster and have a quicker torque rise than the Comp. You will know this the first time you drive it. So, if it does make the same power as the comp and runs the same ET as a comp, from a roll the Adrenaline would kill it. I promise you that there is no comparison.

The last thing to consider is that if we were to somehow actually come up with a tune that made more power than the comp, or come up with some way to get to 4K rpms, or some way to be faster, or some way to give you more options, you get them without having to send your product back. Not saying any of that will ever happen but, if you think that maybe, possibly some of these guys know what they are talking about when they say the power is there, then it is handy to know it is a USB update away.

As for the Comp tune, it is just brutal, it fuel ridiculously hard and fast, it does not wait for boost. The second we see some load and TPS we fuel right now harder than anything that has ever fueled. Sure it needs to be tamed down but, it can do it and that is what is important. The "Comp" tune we put up is on a hidden link and was meant to really test the waters. Some trucks like it, some trucks hate it. We learned that anything above M5's and the truck looses power up high and it is undrivable. At least we know what is too much right now!!!!!!!!

Nope, not at all. If I did I would not even think about just sending something to someone I don't know. I just like to be up front and I always ask to be treated fairly. I don't ask for sugar coating, special treatment or anything other than a fair shake. Thats all.

Like I said in my previous post. I wish nothing but the best for Quad and his products.

Good luck, Quad!

Daniel, Sorry bud. I'm sure we'll all see plenty of track time comparisions from Paul and others.

EDIT: Just to be clear, I'm not a naysayer. I just wanted to see more testing.
