Which shocks to get?

I want to replace my shocks and I really llike the ranchos. Which set is the best all around? I am looking at the RSX or the 9000 series. I am planning to add 2.5" coils in the front as well.

one of my buddy's has a pair of rsx 9000's on the back of his Stupid Duty and they are NICE for being able to adjust stiff to tow a load or all the way soft for the highway, there are more pressing things that I need to do on my truck right now but I'll be getting the RSX 9000's in the next six months. Summit usually sells them 4 for price of 3 or sometimes they or 4 wheel parts includes the in-cab remote adjuster when you buy 4.

If you are only chosing between those 2 then I would get the adjustable ones...Little more money but ALOT BETTER RIDE!

Do a search on Bilsteins.....the 5100 is a much better shock than the Rancho and costs less too.

Everybody I've recommended them to has been pretty happy with them. Several of these folks started with Ranchos.....

if you don't care about having an adjustable shock the bilsteins are good. so are the edelbrock IAS shocks, I was very skeptical of those ones and one of my friends got a full set, they ride really nice. I like the idea of having adjustable shocks in a truck though, just makes it that much more versatile...

The bilsteins look really nice and would work nicely with the new coil springs.. I already have a rancho 5000 stabilizer and that was the reason I was looking at the rancho shocks. I kinda wanted everything to match but I will take performance and comfort over looks.

Hands down. Better than Ranchos by far, better than Bilsteins offroad.

1-9 setting dial on bottom front of shocks. 9 = stiffest
