Setting the timming on a p7100 pump
ok i got the snap-on gauge to set teh timming on the pump but whats the best way to use it. keep the pump on the truck or take it off. and do you take the #1 DV out to use the gauge. thanks for all of the help.

Pump stays on the engine.

The only thing that they don't emphasize enough is the inside gear and shaft must be spotless before you put them back together or the timing will slip.
Aerosol electrical contact cleaner works for me.
