sending unit in trans cooler line

sending unit in trans cooler line
How can i put my ISSPRO transmission sending unit into the trans. line going to the cooler other than buying the line made up from Mass Diesel? can i cut it and instal the proper fittings?
I have a 99. I guess im trying to save the $80.00
