Self-grind?
thinking about grinding my stock plate to 100. is it risky since i dont have one for backup as a spare or is this an everyday thing that you cant screw up? if i dont have to worry about it then what is the best to grind it? bench grinder? or something similar?

i purchased a #10 plate and ran it for a while, then decided to go a 100. I took my stocker and ground it down to the #100. I used the bench grinder to get it close, then used my Dremel to get the swoop in the bottom. Print out a picture of the #100 first, blown up, then do your best to trace it onto your donor plate, worked best for me... good luck...

I used my right angle grinder, and constantly took breaks to check my profile with the one in Rick's gallery, and let it cool. I smoothed it up with an old stone.
