Seeking opinions on lift pumps
Between Fass and Air Dog/Rapter systems, what sort of experience can the group share? I am tired of the stock and minor upgrade attempts I have made to better the fuel delivery plague, that is the 2nd Gen legacy. I haven't looked at this in a while, nor have I kept up with this forum lately. Just looking for a little assistance in making up my mind on which system to go with.

I'd get one from local dealer which ever has best price and service.
If you get either get the pump with filters. Without the filters and air removal you just have a pump.

The FASS and Airdog are very similar. I just installed a Raptor this evening on mine and my buddy has a FASS HPFP. Both seem to work and be pretty reliable.

I've has a FASS 95gph pump for about the last 40 000 miles. It's still steady at 15 psi idle and just under 13 psi wide open. It's a little noisy from outside the cab but you can't hear it inside.

I also have a FASS 95 HPLP. Love it, no more fp issues, I went with the fass as I heard the raptors don't like the REALLY cold temps. I've tested mine down to -43.

The Raptor is a pretty nice kit...everything one might need is included. I just installed one. I guess I'll discover how well it handles -40 this winter.

The FASS and HPFP uses 3/8" lines, is somewhat bigger in both cases, heavier and louder.
The AirDog uses 1/2" lines and is a bit quieter.
That said, I mounted a 150/150 on a customers truck and used one of my Raptor brackets along with the FASS mount and it turned out surprisingly quiet. I have to assume the bracket I used removed some of the resonance from the pump.
Whichever way you go, you are getting a lifetime warranty. So, pick the one you like and never look back!

I have the fass 150 and have no complaints, and just put a raptor 150 on my grandpas truck. His has an adjustible regulator, came with a no drill bracket and is quieter, he hasn't had any trouble out of it either. I believe the new fass pumps are quieter but you cant hear them over the rattle and roar of the CTD anyway so either way you cant go wrong.
