In a nut shell it is reducing the restriction in the lift pump to fuel pump line and banjo's helping out pressures when running boxes. Even without boxes it will take some load of the lift pump due to easier supply. I run the first version and love it.

Two advantages....Extends life of life pump and allows better fuel flow at higher HP.

Does the first by reducing wear & tear from the repeated cycling the lift pump normally encounters.

Flows more fuel due to larger lines and reduced constrictions. I too ran the earlier model and could maintain a min. of 8 psi fuel pressure at WOT...up to 450 hp. I think the newer model is good for even higher HP?

Great pictures here...if you haven't already seem them.

This picture from his website pretty much sums it all up.

Scotty's line on the Left...................................Stock line on the Right.

Don't even hesitate, put one on your truck, you wont regret it.

When it comes to keeping the lift and injection pump alive, everything helps.

The kit works as advertised - I'm very happy with it's performance.....There are no special tools required for the install - a few simple hand tools and about 1 1/2 hours of your time.

I have the first version, which uses Braided stainless covere Teflon lines instead of the push-lok hose on the newer version.

The new version is smarter and much easier to install-- cheaper too.

You don't want braided under the hood if you can help it, because it will eat through other lines it contacts. I had to cover mine with heater hose to protect the ABS lines, electrical, etc.

The socketless hose is SWEET and cooperates with the other things under the hood.

Talking

Just got mine in the mail yesterday. Haven't had the chance to install it on the truck yet, but will get to it soon. I talked to Scotty on the phone before ordering it and he answered all of my questions and more, even though he is a very busy man with his business and training for the strongman competitions. I was just curious what kind of strongman diet Scotty is on, since my Smartfuel arrived in a pizza box!! To Scotty's credit, it didn't look like the box ever had pizza in it.

lol a pizza box . you just think it never had pizza in it that just shows the attention to detail . he didnt leave any trace of pizza in there . so you would never know . so just imagine what kinda attention he put into designing this kit.

Mine too
I figured there was no way that box was Scotty's though, as it was only for a 10" pizza
Scotty is just looking out for our natural resources and recycling when he can
