The Schrader Valve....
Is the valve just for bleeding air from the fuel system?
If I remove the banjo fitting where the schrader valve is and install the tapped banjo fitting for the fuel pressure gauge do I need to have a schrader valve installed in a "T"?
On the 6.9 and 7.3 Internationals it was handy to bleed air.

It is not for bleeding air. It is a test port to check lift pump pressures with a gauge. You don't really need a tapped banjo bolt.....you can use the Schrader valve with the core removed as a fitting to screw onto for a fuel pressure gauge.....it is a #4 SAE (45* flare) fitting but tou can get away with a 37* JIC fitting (more common).
The Schrader will serve no practical purpose once you have your own gauge installed.

Does anyone have a part # I can give to the NAPA boys? These locals can't tell a 45 deg. bend from a coupling! I called them, told them what I needed, they had it in stock, when I got there it was..... If not I better head to a hydraulic shop.

You just gave yourself great advice!
Going to a hydro shop will be a much more pleasant experience and will insure that you will be talking to someone that actually knows what you are talking about and will quite likely get you the correct fittings the first time.
