I believe the Smarty is better because of the adjustability.

The advantage of the ECM now is since they are no longer made, and everyone wants a Smarty, they can be had cheap. But some have not liked the Catcher, and loved the Smarty. I would say get the Smarty.

Catcher ECM is basically a Smarty, stuck on #9! (or #8 if a special Catcher). There are many subtle refinements in the Smarty program plus the adjustability, mentioned above.

Catchers worked very well... and if the price is right, worth buying!

With your fueling you would do better to get the Smarty. You would probably grow tired of the aggressive fueling from the Catcher ecm. I've had both and prefer the adjustability of the Smarty. If you went bigger sticks down the road you would really want the Smarty. With my setup I run Smarty on number 5 at the track... I've been running number 3 for the last couple of days which is a lot less aggressive than even number 5 which gives me the everyday driving manors I've been looking for...

Smarty will give you adjustability, the ability to update in the future, and its easier to use than it would be to swap ecms.

BINGO. Adjustablility and being able to UPDATE the software is where the Smarty really shines. (and of course in the power department too )
