Safety concern on pusher pumps.
I am in the market for a pump, I've been studying the forum and will decide soon, but I have a question:
If I install an electric pusher pump near tank, how do you shut it off if I end up in an accident or rollover ?
I know gasser pumps (OEM) are built with a safety system that shuts them of in a case of accident where a pierced line will spray fuel everywhere.
I am just trying not to create a considerable hazardous problem for somebody else, diesel is not as flamable as gas, but it's still very flamable.

most pushers tie into the factory lift pump harness with a relay for on/off signal. usually they draw power right from the battery, but will act just like a factory lift pump. with engine off they should not run.

I do not use a"pusher" pump. It is a replacement pump, and uses the factory LP pigtail to power the relay that powrs the pump. All's good here, safety-wise, and I do not have to worry about the factory lift pump failing again.
