?s For all you 24v guys

Ok I want to go up from stage 2s to stage 4 or 5s. my question is do I put a bigger exhaust housing on or go with an HX 40 or its equivalent? Also is there anything that will stack with my power puck or do I just get a box that taps the pump? I'm lookin to get 400-450hp out the old girl. So lets see what y'all have to say.

I had jammer 5s with an hx35 and it got hot real fast. Id look into a turbo around a 62 to keep it cool and get 450hp

You can't make a stock turbo support 400-450hp on these trucks, even with a massive turbine housing.

Something in teh 62mm class should work well. Lotsa options on housing and such..

I have run 40s alot. Mainly all pinned. I liked the way they work for medium hp trucks. I had 8x18 injectors along with a comp, ADD .093 lines and .120 connector tubes adn though it got hot when I was at the drag strip or at the track it never got out of hand. That was with a 40 with a 16cm housing.

So would a 62/14 work fairly well. After last nite I want something that will spool up fast. anybody know of a good fueling box other than a smarty, or maybe something to stack with my puck if that can be done.

A TST would prob be your best bet if you wanna stack something with your puck but i dont have any first hand experience with a power puck. If not sell the puck and buy a drag comp.

Its been my experience that you can fuel the truck and get big horsepower but it will never run as cool as it did with the stock turbo and stock fuel. You can buy turbos that move more air to keep up with the fuel but your temps will climb lightning fast and spool will be slow. As far as big power goes I really like my HTT HTB2 62/13SS. But when I am pulling, the stock turbo goes back on the truck.

Bob Wagner made 401 with a smarty, mach 4 injectors and a 35/40 hybrid turbo so I think you're goals not far out of reach. I do think your goals will put a hurting on your current clutch. The s300 varients use a larger shaft which won't be prone to snapping like a hx40.

Dragon Flows from II, Drag comp, Pusher pump, hx/40 or twins or a 62/12 or 13. Power puck can stack with the tst, but the best bang for the buck is a Drag Comp.

go with a Readline Box and a EZ. I have seen a truck with that setup it was one heck of a show. escpecially since you have a 5 speed. but i run a bell turbo 62mm USB and it's a little slow on the start but it is easily streetable. It's actually a really nice trubo and is great for pulling. my brother runs the smarty and the drag comp with bullydog 5's but the TST and the EZ set up seems to be better choice than that.

I second that. I have been watching them more and more and liking the results they are gettin. I had a Comp and had more problems with the dar thing than I could shake a stick at. Pack mule can tell ya when we took it off the truck last weekend I was half tempted to put it under the wheels and just back out over it......

Go with the 4's and a 62mm turbo... The 40 is old school and is not as efficient or reliable as the new hybrids.

I agree with this. The up side to doing the TST is it's adjustable. If you were to go with bigger sticks and a TST it would be time for a new clutch. Especial since I'm sure you'll still want to pull. With the TST you'll be able to turn the power down if you slip the clutch. You cant do that with injectors. Also the TST and puck stack very well together. I ran that combo on my 01 for a while and the complement each other nicely. Also, IMO if you're going to buy a TST, do yourslef a favor and just buy the TST comp right away. If you buy a used one send it in to be upgraded. It's worth every penny.
