?s about TST Comp Water/Meth

I want more power! I couldn't run with a 06 dodge with the Crazy Larry. It had the Bullydog, straight piped and SB FE clutch, thats it. I was even with him on a roll till about 90 and he left me. We went off the line but my clutch slipped when I hit 4th. I got it to hot again between shifts I guess. Anywho...I have the regular TST PM3, what will I benifit out of the Comp version? I would like to run water/meth, I maxed the pyro in 4th and 5th at 1500 degrees. Can I run meth without blowing a head gasket? Im at 40 PSI right now with the 62/14.

No you can't, head needs to be o-ringed and headstuds to even think about running water/meth. The Comp version is the same as the regular, just fuels to 3400 RPMS and falls flat on its face. Driveability is alot better on the regular TST as well.

If you are already slipping the clutch then adding anything more will compound the problem. Upgrade the clutch and then think about adding more power. Untill then be satisfied knowing that you owe $20,000 less for your truck then he does.

I'm still thinking its the driver, not the clutch....That does make me feel better knowing how much that truck is costing him compared to mine. I just think its BS that all you have to do is put a chip in a new one and they will flat out run. Anyone see the Diesel Power issue where they put a predator in a new durmax and it runs 13.8s? Anyways, how about running studs with a stock gasket? Do I have to do all the headwork now or will just studs hold it together to run water/meth?

It will hold maybe, its just a question of how long.......Plus look at it this way, he was probably running an auto and your have to shift, you loose time there as well.

Not true... the Competition version is rated at +180hp(SO pumps) and fuels at 2psi of boost...

So would you recommend it? I know it surges bad on the higher settings, if I leave it on the lower settings around town it should be similar to my regular Pm3?

for the extra $50 it costs I think it's worth it... it 's a matter of whether or not you can live with the surge. It's more noticeable after moderate to heavy throttle applications and then quickly letting off.

.............

I have it, and the power is great!! The surging gets on your nerves though.I cant go above level 6 without being in 4wd if I am in it hard....... Rear end not sticky enough. I am going to have to do studs and o-rings soon though. levels 5 thru nine I can peg 50+ lbs of boost with ease

Im sorry but that is B.S. I have the comp version and running water/meth with a Hitech 66 turbo. I still have the stock head studs and gasket. The comp version is worth the $50. I have been running my setup for about 6mo now and love it.

Mine is sitting on the garage shelf. Was a good box in it's time but was way too harsh on my drivetrain. There's better technology out now days..

I hate to say it but your head gasket is on borrowed time for sure, let me know the details when she goes Only reason it hasn't gone yet from what I see is the low drive pressures with that HTT 66. The LEAST I would do would be headstuds but still its just a matter of time.
