RV275 Injectors
Anyone know how much these will increase egts? How about hp and tq increases? Anyone have these installed that can tell me any pros/cons?
My truck is a 2002 with an auto trans, 3.55 gears, K+N drop in filter, and a superchips tuner. I will be adding 4" exhaust and gauges soon too.
Thanks!

you might want to loose that k&n. They dont work on a diesel very good. The turbo sucks all the oil through it and the oil sticks on the blades. then dirt gets through the filter and sticks to the oil on the turbo. And this will throw your turbo outta whack.

You'll be fine. I ran a comp in EZ mode with 275's for a while and the highest EGT's I ever saw were 1150-1200* at 110mph. They added a nice little boost with the EZ. Nothing real big and my tranny handled it real well. My mileage also went up 1-2mpg with them.

Yes they are the same. Some guy on ebay supposedly started calling his injectors 300's when they are only RV275's. Every one else had to step up and call theirs 300's also so the uninformed would buy the 300hp injector instead of the 275hp injector.. Bunch of bull, but i guess it is necessary to be competitive.

I was weighing to either sell my Edge EZ and get a comp, or just add on injectors. I bought a set (rv275's) from a DTR member and installed them. While the seat of the pants power was questionable, the power increase towing hit me right between the eyes, definately improved in that area, but I can see where some trans issues could arise. Most egt I've seen was 1230, but that was at 24psi of boost. My turnbuckle had loosened so I was down about 6psi over what it is usually running. The egt was with trailer in tow pulling a 6% grade in OD at around 1800 rpm. Before the injectors there was no way the truck would stay in OD pulling that section of the pass to the west of me. I probably won't make it a habit of pulling like that, feel a bit better just to slow down and go out of OD and keep the rpm's up higher) but the power was there. So far mileage has not been affected. Still getting 14-16 around town, and 18-19 on the highway.

ib516,
EGT's will be higher but not much unless you tow a house or two! WE sell a ton of the NEW Bosch 275rv's and they are sort of a different mod for a lot of members. You don't feel much under normal driving, but when you tow or flat foot it all of the sudden you go "WOW" what a change. We do always reccomend gauges, even on a stock turck if you tow heavy! Call us if you want we have benn selling the 275RV's for less than the E bay folks for years, plus we don't poke you on UPS fees etc.

Thanks for all the help. I'll be buying soem new injectors, and I will keep an eye on the turbo blades for signs of gunk, and keep an eye on the K+N.
As another poster in the thread says, the 275 and 300 injectors are the same. I phoned the guy selling his "300" injectors on ebay (new BOSCH units), and he said he had to quit calling them 275 injectors, and start calling them 300 injectors because some clown started calling his 275 injectors "300" injectors. He had to rename them, or lose sales.
