When I bought my truck it had a set of 275 injectors and a van aaken smart box. It was a great set up, towed awsome. I pulled a 31 ft boat from new orleans to NC and it pulled like a dream, never got too hot with a 4" exhaust. Then I got the bug and wanted to start adding more power...

I do still have those injectors if you are interested.

Easy job. Figure 2.5hrs for a first-timer. Totally worth it.

RV275s are the injectors these things should have come with from the factory.

I've had a set of RV275 nozzles only laying around for quite a while. I put about 5k miles on them. $20 + shipping from Ca.

I have RV275s and the job was about 2-3 hours as I took my time and had another guy help who had done it before. Without the box, I hardly felt a difference tho. It was there, but minor. As far as mileage... about the same honestly. No bump or loss, but I sometimes have a bit of fun too.

If I had to do it again, I probably should have spent the money for more power. At least 60hp sticks. But I can't complain about the RV275s... they have not caused a single problem and I've had them in for 30K miles.

Oh, and on the dyno, I believe the difference amounted to about 25 RWHP.

Ive been running a RV275, VA, 4" exhaust combo for about 4 or 5 years and have loved it. Nice upgrade in power that has been easy on the rest of the truck, and definitaley better mileage, basically nice safe efficient power upgrade.

I'm running Jammer II nozzles rated at about 75 HP...I think my gain is really about 50 HP...I also had a Van Aaken Smartbox "R" hooked up that I've since disconnected due to some issues with the box...the injectors alone are a very mild boost to overall performance/ mileage, the timing box helped a lot down low and with additional mileage. Together there was a marked increase in mileage and performance and the overall driving experience was enhanced greatly! I wouldn't consider one without the other!!!

On the topic of mild injectors does anyone have to follow emission rules? I have to go on the rollers every year, the truck passes with flying colors every time but I'm worried about putting on injectors and passing. I don't really want to go back to stock to pass a smog test.

Thanks

2500Ram,

I have to go on the rollers as well... I see you are in the same town as I am. My RV275s are fine and pass all the time. No box or anything.

Before I got my Smarty I had the Van Aaken V5. As
soon as I added the RV275 injectors my stock clutch
would slip in 5th and 6th gear. I've since upgraded to
a southbend and all is good now.
