It's not legal on public roads, the exhaust must exit behind the passenger compartment.

It wont sound much diff than a 4-5 inch straight. Its not the exhaust that makes the Scheid truck sound awesome .

Thats probly not legal, but I would die the day I saw a truck come flyin past me w/a 5" pipe commin out of the dern hood.

Course it would get old cleanin soot off the winshield and the slow loss of hearing, but neat none the less.

I saw a silver ext cab dually last year at the offroad jamboree in lima with a stack through the hood take off down the road. It was pretty sweet. I believe Durasmack has a picture of it somewhere.

According to texas highway laws the exhaust has to exit on the passenger side if in front of the compartment as long as the exhaust pipe is at least 15 inches long

but you will probably get harrassed by the local PoPo

Wheat farmer special around here, they do it to lots of grain trucks
and pick ups used during harvest. Keeps from strating the dry fields on fire.
Don't know about it being legal with the highway patrol but they make it to the grain elevators.
