running board stacks

has anyone ever seen stacks run along where the running boards are? I've seen this once at a truck show and would love to do the same... any pictures, advice or info would be great! thanks.

I ran laker pipes on a 78 Dodge 3/4 wwith the 400. Very loud, obnoxious, and droned like the devil. ABSOLUTELY LOVED THEM.

Thought about doing it to the 3500 I run now, but keep remembering the dings from off-road.

Do like the look tho.

Like sherod said, I couldnt do this because all the county roads I take would eat them up. They would be pretty sweet on, maby a 2wd street truck that never goes off road...

I saw a turquois/teal type colored 2500 CTD drive through Denison, IA last week that had a single 5" pipe running down the passenger side exiting by the right rear tire. Sounded good, but it was a dull stainless and looked sort of goofy. I think it would have looked cool either polished or chromed. I also think the wheels/tires combo must be matched with or compliment the side pipe -- this trucks combo looked really out of place. Personal tastes...

it mite look cool but if you blow smoke your back wheels are never going to be clean. b/c my buddy had regular 4 inch that came out in front of the passenger side rear wheel and his wheel was always black and all he had done was a #4 cam plate...i wouldnt do it. IMO
