You can launch in 4 wheel drive, buy you should stay around 10 psi of boost to protect the output and even then nothing is for sure.
The EGT issue is a judgment call. I would worry more about over-speeding the charger with the fuel you're pushing. You have a HY-35 charger so it's going to get hot and the drive pressure will be high too.

10 pounds or less on the launch. Personelly I wouldn't go above 8 pounds on a 4X4 launch since I broke my stock output at 10 pounds but I was running low 13s at the time. Your probably going to be running low 9s or high 8.80s with an 8 pound launch so your only looking at around 5 seconds at the high EGTs.

You might want to try diferent settings on the comp box. Some lower settings my be more agressive because it wont over feul so bad. Try 5x2 4x3 and see what happens.

I go to the one in shelby every once in a while. Havent been since the 370s and the NV-4500. Still working on my shifting. I have got the 2-3 down but I still have problems with the 4-5. Don't think I'll get to 5th on the 1/8 mile anyway but on the factory 180s I was running a 10 at 70 mph.
