Rule #3.... You on your 1st VP44???

And what if #4 conflicts with #2?

Be honest, unless it makes a product look bad, then just shut up and let others figure it out...........

Lol Yeah I have gotten a few PM saying my avatar is retarded or "disturbs" people but thats kind of rediculous.

I don't mind people asking a repeat question unless you can see another post with the same question on page 1 of threads in a particular forum.

85,000 miles on original VP44. Only part I've replaced for
failing is 1 lift pump.

Just wait until you get a few more miles your VP44 WILL die. Unless your trucks a freak and you one lucky man.

Ditto for me. I don't mind answering repeat questions because I remember being new here (just a few posts ago, lol) and I'd be very frustrated if someone just pawned me off the a search function that honestly is not very useful at all.

If the search feature was fully enabled, it MIGHT be appropriate to refer SOME posts to it.

But answering repeat questions is important, and it often stirs a debate or scares out some new information that we ALL benefit from.

I agree on this.

Jack has reworked the search and it's pretty useful again. The thing that folks don't understand is that a search works best if you use 6 words or less. Too many causes it to stray, too few won't get out enough info. Additionally, what seems like a logical search to you may not be for the server. Try different words or even change the order and search for posts, not threads.
