Rough running 99
Put an Adrenaline box in my truck, went out and ran it around town for about an hour. Brought the truck home and when I pulled into the driveway, the truck started to run really rough. Took the truck back out and now it misses when I step on the throttle and when at an idle. Egt's still go right to 1250 when on the throttle but rough getting there. Called and injection place here is Salt lake, he seems to think it is the Diaphram in the Vp. Anyone else have any ideas? Thanks

Was that your first tapping of that pump? The Vp will generally fail within 15 minutes of being tapped if it is going to. Mine was dead within 5 minutes of level 5 on the juice. See if you can't get autozone to pull codes for you since you can't do the key trick. if you find 1688 then you have a pump pulling experience ahead of you. You can get a rebuilt pump for under 1000, it is a 3-4 hour job, not bad at all.

See thats the thing thats bothering me about the Diaphram thing, is that I pulled codes and only got a TPS error. But after I taped the pump wire and started the truck back up, forgot to plug the line back in. No codes for the pump? Fuel pressure at idle is 12 psi, wot drops to 5. But never droped below 5, when the truck started running rough.

correct me if i'm wrong, but those numbers seem a little low. you may need to replace your lift pump. that may or may not solve your problem, but over time that could kill your VP
