Rough idle with new injectors.. Normal?

Hey guys.

So I did a swap over the weekend and put in some DDP 150's.
I bought em from a guy that said they only had 50 miles on em. He said... bought em, drove to a dyno event, dyno'd and drove home and took em out.

I know they could have a little more but he showed me the reciept for em and they were only a month old.

Anyway, I have an off beat Idle with em.
Ive completely redone the swap 4 times now and even put in new tranfer tubes the second time. Tripple checked everything to make sure it was all lining up and seating right but still have off idle.
Its not a lope, its like raw raw RAW raw RAW RAW raw raw raw RAW. Real speratic like.

Took it to Gillett diesel and they said that was normal on sticks bigger then 100's. And that it's the injection pump tryin to keep the truck at normal idle, Which would make sense cause it doesnt do it when im givin it any pedal, only at idle.

BUT my buddies Mach 4's run smooth! So I just wanna see what you guys think.
Normal?
Or should I pull em and get em checked?
TIA Ian.

I've heard of some having a lope w/the Machs but not DDP. To completely rule things out I would have them poptested just to make sure. Do a search on here for this...others have posted info on this.

Is this weird idle only when the truck is warm, in park or neutral? If you apply the brakes or the A/C pump does it idle smooth? If you say yes to these....lots of people have this idle problem, including myself. So far there is nothing we can do really for this problem.

i would say normal my idle changed with mach 4's but that would be for the first 2-3 min at idle and slowly get better. but over all it did change the sound. its a normal sound to me anymore. as soon as you add fuel and raise RPM the trucks typically with bigger injectors or higher timing will smooth out.

I did a nozzle swap and got a lope until I installed my XZT+ (timing change maybe)? Anyway, I've heard if your injectors aren't pop tested you can get a lope.

Yea its the worst in park. Does it a little in drive when im at a stop light. But only once the truck is warm. When it starts cold it runs smooth for the first few minutes. So opposite of you DIESLWRKS, kinda. But yea as soon as I add fuel and start to go , its gone instanly till I come to a stop again.

You really think they'd need to be tested with only 50 miles on em though?

My EDGE Jammer 150hp had the same weird idle and lope at cold and when I ran it hard. It got better with time but still wasn't 100%. Now my Mach 7s don't lope or idle weird at all and are smooth in all power. I think it has a lot to do with the quality of the injector and the truck. It sure wouldn't hurt to have them all checked just to be safe

When I installed my Mach, I noticed a lope right at first and just after startup. I was tripple checking everything for leaks making sure all was good and found that even though no fuel leak, one injector line was slightly loose enough to suck air. I tightened even further and it smoothed out. No probs to date.
