NWDave, I had the fuel guage on the right also. When I went to install the bezel with the Pod, the braided stainless line had no place to go on the right of the H/AC control panel. Had to move it to the left of the Pod.

First, Mexstan, I stand corrected. Stainless "braided" line is what I was provided from the source of all the correct material you need to make the job work, Rod and Scotty.

Second, I notched the support system a little to allow the line to pass through to the gauge. I didn't have enough space at the top of the a/c - heat control to bring through all the wire and lines so I notched out a space between the screw mounts of the environmental controls and everything just "flew" through.

Third: Shovelhead, tell me more about this needle valve. Got a stock number, a hint of where to go for it? I've got that buzz, even with a rubber snubber and braided stainless line.

~Dave

Dang, I should have looked at SH's picture. Great view of the needlevalve. Ok, got a part number? NAPA's open today, maybe they got one?

~Dave

This is the one I'm using.
It's from Graingers at www.graingers.com
NAPA and other should carry the same thing, just take the specs with you.

I got the tip from Illflem on TDR.
After installing this valve, close it off all the way, have somebody watch the guage and slowly open until you get a correct reading, then tighten the packing nut to keep the vibrations from moving the setting.
It eliminated the buzzing in my gauge. ;D
Ok Dave! I was assuming no modification to the dash itself.

Re:Rod's Pods are here, who will be first?

You are correct in your assumption. When you remove the bezel to make your cut for the pod, you also have to remove the climate control switch plate so you can pass the lines up. Between the two top screws, there is a plastic section that I removed. I passed all the wires and lines through that gap, rather than following instructions of trying to slink everything around the sides. The screw tabs were, of course, left intact. Once everything was restored to it's correct position, you couldn't even tell that I'd deviated from Rod and Scotty's fine instructions.

Thanks to Shovelhead for responding so quick. Needed that cure. That's what I like about this site. Now, if I could just find a cure for this BOMBing fever.
