Question Roaring Sound

After I installed my #0 plate and slide it full forward with the TST light AFC spring I noticed that under hard acceleration at about 1800 rpm in 5th gear at about 60mph thier is a loud roar noise coming from the engine for a split second, then the turbo will start to spool up, could this be contributed to too much fuel before boost is built or ? it almost sounds like the clutch is slipping but I doubt that could be it because the tach does not increase rapidly. Any help guys would be very appreciated. BTW: this never happened with the #11 plate in the same position. I know that it will slip the clutch through 4th if you want it to.

I believe that is from exhaust blowing passed the turbine wheel rather than spinning it.. Not totally sure though.. Anyone else???

That's a good point, if that is what is happening, how would I go about fixing the problem, could that be caused by the increase in fuel due to the #0 plate?

I had it kind of bad. I went to a 18 housing and it is better. A 18 would probably be to laggy for you, I have a little excess fuel.. Plus I have a hybrid..

I have a set of 370's, 4k gsk, o-ringed ported and polished w/larger valves and 60# springs head studs and a high lift long duration bumpstick on the shelf in my garage waiting on twins, I already have the 181dv's installed "from the factory" do you think that might fix the problem But seriously I guess it could be excess fuel seeing how it did not start this until I went from the #11 plate to the #0 plate. I guess I just need to build the twin setup so I can install all the other parts before my wife sells them all in one of here garage sales, I don't know, hopefully I can get to the bottom of it.

Is it the fan engaging, and disengaging? Something to think about.

That is a good point cumminsdriver635, but I don't know why it would have just started this after I installed the #0 plate and soft TST AFC spring.
