Roadmaster Transmission

Anyone ever heard of or used a Roadmaster upgraded transmission in their Cummins powered trucks?

Yup.

Heard of a guy with a 10 speed roadranger in his ram. I don't remember his handle, or anything else for that matter, but, I do remember he had that 10 speed in there. Sorry I can't help,, but it's been done! Might try searching for him either on the web, here on DTR, or where I read about him,, over on TDR. (Not sure if you have to be a member).

EDIT: RoadRanger/RoadMaster? Same thing?

Im talking about Roadmaster Transmissions. Just a regular 47RE built for towing or snow plow applications by the above company. Nothing readical, just a tranny. They have a HD version for towing and snowplow applications for $1525.00 on E-bay with a 24 month/24 thousand mile full warranty. Just wondering if anyone had used them or heard of them before. Seem like a good price for a mildly BOMBed truck especially if it will hold up for 100,000 miles.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Especially off of Ebay -- I don't think a reputable tranny shop can use quality parts and only spend $1600 for the entire tranny.

I'd try calling some of the site's sponsors and getting their opinions on trannys. ATS, DTT, Suncoast & Dave Goerend have reputations and users around here.
