The 3850# CB.

I had outgrown my 2nd clutch and was ready to go all out. But Peter didn't want me to throw my money away. He said that the Iron Giant would be too hard on the knee and that the FB was money I didn't need to spend.. since I'm not running the pulling circuit.

Hohn.....Still like you FE? I want to back a trailer if I need to without chiping teeth!
Dan, do you have 4x4? If you do, you can always do the 2wd low range kit. I'm going to try mine first and see how it acts before I get the kit. I'll try and update after the install this weekend.

Ya know....truth be told that i use my Low Range when backing sometimes....so that might not be an issue there.......Also the fact that i dont tow hardly (10% of the time I would say). My only experience with an FE was you had to start in 1st gear all the time or you would rattle the teeth out of your head......just normal driving.......BUT the dang thing held!

I think you'll like it. You should give it a break-in period.

Although I didn't. I didn't have the time. I pulled an all-nighter changing the clutch. I finished just in time to drive it straight down to the Spring Fling and onto the dyno.

I've towed with it all over the place. As well as hauling a couple of ton of firewood on a regular basis. Hay bales are the load of the day now. And I've perfected my third gear rolling burnouts. It doesn't miss a beat.
