Yep, the real stuff there, not marketing hype from moron after market “experts”.
So nice to hear it properly called a "gas turbine driven intake air compressor"..
I particularly love the part about the second stage compressor on a compound setup (what most on here persistently call twins) needing to be "much smaller".... Someone on here has been saying that for two years now
But I'll still get beat up by the people who think you need an HX 40 as a secondary even after they read all this info.... old myths die hard, especially when the aftermarket keeps them alive......
Oh yeah, another nice thing in the article is the correct use of the words aftercooler and intercooler....
Opening manufacturing in communist China, however, is not very pleasing..... Still can’t buy a freakin Cuban cigar in this country due to trade embargoes imposed on communist Cuba, but all's ok with having everything under the sun made in communist China....

well, it IS cheap right? (read with tongue FIRMLY planted in cheek). although that seems to be all that matters to most.

Call it what you want but turbo sounds a lot cooler than gas turbine driven intake air compressor. And twin turbos pushing air through an aftermarket intercooler sound that much better. And hey, in Texas, bigger is always better. Especially when it comes to turbos.

Loved the article... trying to picture a land vehicle with that 78 liter QSXSSAWER engine (some numbers like that, anyway).
I just wish they'd release their compressor maps like garrett. It's enough that I'm considering going to garrett simply because I can get the maps.

I wish! The rabbit's using about 1qt. oil for every 10 gallons of fuel. Adding boost to the mix would ensure it's untimely demise. I did race a geo the other day. He beat me off the line, but I got him >83mph. ![Big Grin](https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
