I did mine in less than 2 hours. Its been a while so I dont remember everything I had to unbolt but I know the sway bar ends, shocks and shock towers were unbolted! If you have axcess to a spring compresser it would help save you some time as well.

I have two brand new steel spacers that I never installed and would sell. I installed two new coil springs from a cab chassis and it leveled my truck and made it stiffer as well. Very happy!

You wont need a coil compressor. Just use jack stands under the rear and chock the rear wheels. Jack it up high enough up front to allow your A-arms to fully drop when everything is unbolted. The coils will pretty much just fall out of the holders.

The stock control arms are limited to as far they can drop. They will bind on the top of the axle brackets and the bottom of the frame brackets; yes, even with the shocks, swaybar and tractbar all disconnected. With them fully extended, you can pull the spring easly enough. But once a spacer has been mounted, you will need to use a coil compressor. You can "borrow" one from AutoZone. Well, I guess this will be opposite for you.

This is why mine took so long to do. Besides compressing these springs is not fun.

i tow alot heavier stuff than i used too. and i do not like the nose high look going down the road. even though i added an aal in the rear, sometimes it is still saggy in the rear. i am still making my mind up about it. i do not run 315's any more, so a 265 or 285 would be fine without the spacer. i might pull them before i get new tires. so i can get it aligned at the same time. i am still thinking it through. i think it would be easier to remove the spacers than it is installing them.

i thought about that. but they run around 250, correct? i know it is a double edged sword. i like the stance now, and airbags would be the way to go, but they cost money and larger tires do too! plus the smaller, cheaper tires would look stupid with the extra lift.

You know, they do sell cheaper systems without a compressor. Just airbags, mounts and tubing. Thats how mine is set up. I just need to air up at home or work or gas stations.
