Remote fuel filter mount on frame rail

I'm looking for a remote fuel filter mount for my truck. I'll be using 1/2" ID fuel line. I've dug up a couple mounts in some old threads. One using a Cat filter, others using equivalents - cheaper. The filter water separator I probly will use is Fleetguard FS1000. The two mount part numbers I came up with are Fleetguard 3930618S http://www.fleetguard.com/fleet/en/...talog_popup.jsp and Donaldson P174769 https://dynamic.donaldson.com/webc/....html?item=1860. Both show 1/2" inlet and outlet. The equivalent in the Baldwin number FB1311 http://catalog.baldwinfilter.com/catalog.html showed the same mount, but it had 7/8" inlet and outlets.

My question concerning the inlet and outlet size, when it says 1/2" inlet, does that mean it's for 1/2" ID fuel line or 1/2" OD fuel line? I don't want a restriction. Thanks for any help on this.

When they say 1/2" it usually means 1/2" NPT (national pipe thread) which will have an OD of around 3/4"

NAPA Part Number 4770 is a universal filter base that the fleetgaurd fs1000 fits perfectly. Just picked it up yesterday for 35 bucks. Pricey but fairly nice. 1/2" NPT.
