Rectangular Tube Control Arms

Rectangular Tube Control Arms
Looking for (and not having much luck) rectangular upper and lower control arms for my truck I think I'd prefer poly bushings with zerks to lube up once in a while - not what I've been able to find, ones for 3500, 01 and up, round - or fabbed like a steel bridge support and bright flourescent orange with big bold letters advertising to the world (for free mind you) with whom you spent your hard earned green backs with. Oh yeah, I've seen some of the ones that are chrome molly and think I should mention $1299.00 is totally out of the question.
I saw someone w/a 99 purchased a set of sky jackers (I think - of course they are red and round - however, if they were black and didn't advertise I'd consider them) and the bushings were different on the upper diff end for some reason - he had to wait for the correct (99) ones to arrive to complete.
I'd really like it if those that reply to this post would include links for the manufacturer they know of or, at least the correct company web site or, even the phone number.
I'm all internet searched out and really want to purchase asap.
Thanks

Couldn't you just buy the skyjackers and paint them with a good high quality black paint? Or you might consider calling skyjacker directly to see if you can custom order the color of there control arms.

Rectangular tubing does not twist well - that's why your factory links are not boxed.
The twist is needed when either front wheel is higher or lower than the other, such as going into a parking lot higher than the street at a diagonal - or out of same.
Round tubing is similar - both require larger bushings with greater compliance than stock.
Softer bushings give less axle control on braking and acceleration, resulting in more axle wrap.
They're great for straight-line service, such as drag-racing, sled-pulling, etc, but can damage brackets on the frame and axle on the street.
Just a friendly heads-up...............

Still too rich for my pocket. I'll probably end up with the bridge truss DT units - they are pretty good looking. But, for a few hunder more I can get a whole 3" kit with shocks too boot! Decisions, decisions. . .
Thanks for the replies.
Late on.

Go to a local off road shop. I bet they can fab up some 2x.25 wall arms for you for cheap (maybe $50 each?). I would build them with a poly bushing on the axle end and a big heim (good quality) on the frame. of course a big heim on one end will bump the price up 40-50 for each arm.
Are you breaking stock arms?

As far as the arms - the busings are dryrotted and from what I've read they've become de-vulcanized from the arms long before the cracks show up. So the vibrating is more pronounced by the bad arms. I've got to figure out the vibrating first but do need the arms immediatly following. "Long live the vibramachine"

They're grey alright but they appear to be round tube. And I guess you might be able to buy them with out forking out $1200 - 2100 for a complete kit?
Thanks for the reply

[QUOTE=Scramblinman;1182204]I guess the ones I just installed on my truck are a bit too "bridge beam-like" and "loud" for you then, huh....
Actually they are the ones I was referring to I actually like them and think for $325 they are a great deal. I'm really considering them but for another $375 I can get a complete 3" lift kit with upper & lower arms, poly bushings, add a leaf in the rear, all the hardware, track bar relocating plate and 4 shocks. So I'm still shopping.
Keep em cummins guys - Thanks
