rear freeze plug on head modification...
I have heard of people plumbing their rear 1.5 inch freeze plug on their head to accept a smaller pipe from their air horn, and I just saw an aftermarket intake that already has this available. Here is what I am confused about: If it's a freeze plug doesn't that mean there is coolant circulating in that 1.5 inch port? not sure why you would want to introduce air inside the cooling system, the aftermarket system I saw said it helps cool cylinders 5 & 6. Could someone who has better knowledge of this please chime in and explain this to me? Thanks in advance....

Pusher intakes has a intake horn that has a smaller pipe run to the back of the head and put more air for the cylinder 5/6.
They are not using the rear frost plug, they are using a threaded hole that is already there in the head, if I remember right.

Interesting..... This goes to show how attentive I've been over the past year. Didn't know the Pusher Intake was even out there. I'll have to do some research on this product since it seems like an interesting approach on how to get more air to the outer cylinders.

Its whats called a spool aid.
Actually there are two soft plugs, one is at cyl 1/2 and the other is at 5/6. These plugs are there from the sand casting during mfg.
I have Pusher's setup, its well built.
