I have the remote along with 5000s. The remote was a totally worthless investment. The shocks leak between the plastic fitting and the body. Those third party brass fittings could possibly fix the problem, but are too expensive. Called Rancho's 800 number and they suggested putting a piece of gasket between the fitting and shock, as the fix, and even offered to send out some material to make the gaskets myself. Worthless warranty and support. Convinced me to not ever buy Rancho again.

How do you use a remote with 5000's? I didn't think the 5000's were adjustable. Do you have the 800 number for Rancho? The web site only gives a toll number.

Re:Rancho 9000's with remote
i've had 9000's in 3 different vehs, all w/the remote and have never had a leak. the only thing you need to do when installing is tighten everything down properly, about as tight as you cant get it only using your fingers, dont use pliers, you'll only crimp the line and get a leak. i kept the remote from my old jeep and as soon as they have the buy 3 get 1 free deal, i'm getting them for my truck.

Excuse me as I meant 9000's instaed of 5000's. They're the older 5 level model.
Maybe the phone number wasn't a 800, can't remember for sure, but calling it was of little value. Their lifetime warranty doesn't cover air leaks between the fitting and the shock body.
